About the IB Middle Years Programme

Punta Gorda Middle School is proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP), a comprehensive educational framework designed for middle school students. The MYP prepares students to become active, compassionate lifelong learners who understand that others, with their differences, can also be right.

    The second programme introduced by the International Baccalaureate® (IB), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) was adopted by the IB in 1994.

  • Transitions from the MYP

    After finishing the MYP, students are well-prepared for further education, including national and international courses of study for 16-19 year olds.
