Hello Eagle Families,
We have officially reached the final week of the school year!
This year has flown by, and it is filled with moments of hard work, resilience, and immense growth. As we prepare to send our students off for a well-deserved summer break, we want to share some incredibly exciting academic updates.
We set out at the beginning of this school year with an unified focus on Learning Gains. Our goal was to ensure that every single student could track, witness, and take pride in their own growth as they progressed through the curriculum.
While the state testing results are still completely unofficial, we simply could not wait to share how incredibly proud we are of the hard work our students have put forth.
Over 60% of our students met their individual growth goals in ELA and/or Math! This is an absolutely remarkable achievement for our school. We also saw outstanding success and high engagement during our Civics and Science testing last week. Then this past Wednesday, our 8th grade Algebra students rocked their assessment with an over 80% pass rate, wrapping up the last state assessment day for the year. What a great way to end!
The growth our students made this year is surely worth celebrating. We hope you take the opportunity at home to sit down with your students and celebrate their dedication, focus, and individual academic success!
This week please help us ensure a safe, smooth, and successful conclusion to the school year by noting the following:
- Final Exams: Final exams are taking place throughout this week. There are two exams per day with the exception of Friday with only one exam.
- NO backpacks: No backpacks or large bags are permitted on campus for the remainder of the week. Students should only bring necessary writing utensils or items requested by their teachers for their exams.
- School ID Badges are still required and the no cell phone policy is still in place.
- The Last Day of School: Our final day of school is May 29th. Students have Exam Period 7 that morning and then in the afternoon we will be hosting our end-of-year ACR featuring grade-level pep rallies! Each class will come together to celebrate their amazing accomplishments, school spirit, and state testing efforts. The day will end with the fire department joining us again. If your student wishes to participate, please ensure that they bring a towel.
Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to our PGM community! We could not achieve these heights without you. I am also thankful for your support of our leadership team and me. We are so proud of your students and appreciate your partnership along the way.
Let's finish this year strong! Summer here we come!
