Hello Eagle Families,
Believe it or not, we are officially two weeks away from the end of Quarter 1! Time is flying, and our Eagles are working hard to finish the quarter on a high note.
As we approach the end of the quarter, staying focused is essential. Our quarter focus word remains Attitude! A positive, resilient mindset makes all the difference as assignments, projects, and assessments wrap up.
Please encourage your students to continue to limit distractions in the classroom. Staying engaged, keeping personal items (cellphones, toys, etc.) at home or put away, and putting forth maximum effort every day will ensure they achieve the strong results they’ve worked so hard for. Hold their peers accountable as well to ensure that every classroom is a positive learning environment for each and every student.
Basketball playoffs are Tuesday! Our teams have had an incredible season. Come out and show your Eagle pride this Tuesday night at 6:00 PM:
- Boys Basketball: Playing at Port Charlotte Middle School
- Girls Basketball: Playing at LA Ainger Middle School

Important reminder in regard to attendance. Being present is a vital element in your students' overall success. We understand that at times an absence is unavoidable especially with sickness and unforeseen family matters. When these absences are necessary please ensure you are contacting the school as well as ensuring your student is communicating with their teachers upon return for any missed classwork.
Bright minds love new experiences, and we know family trips and special events create wonderful memories! However, per the Student Code of Conduct, the school must be notified at least 5 school days in advance of any planned trips or special events, such as state/national competitions, student conferences, educational enrichment activities, important public functions, or college visits. Pre-planned absences without this prior notice will be marked as unexcused.
Note: Absences are excused at the principal's discretion, depending on the student's overall attendance record and academic standing.
