Message From Leadership

Hello Eagle Families,

First, I would like to congratulate our Boys Basketball Champions! They played an amazing game this past Friday and brought home the victory over Murdock Middle.

All of our basketball players capped off a phenomenal season with determination, skill, and outstanding sportsmanship. We are so proud of our student-athletes and coaches.

Friday was also Custodian Appreciation Day. Thank you to our fantastic custodians who work extremely hard to maintain a clean and comfortable environment. We are grateful for their dedication and attention to detail to make our campus beautiful.

As Quarter 1 comes to a close, we are taking time to reflect on the incredible hard work our students and staff have put in over the last nine weeks. It has been a busy, productive start to the school year, and we are proud of the growth and momentum we see across our campus!

As we prepare for the start of Quarter 2, there are a few important elements to wrap-up. The official close of the quarter is October 9th. With the end of the grading period here, staying on top of coursework is more critical than ever. While many assignment deadlines for Quarter 1 may have already passed, please remind your student that staying consistent with daily classwork throughout the entire quarter is vital to maintaining accurate and successful class performance. Staying up to date with assignments throughout the quarter also helps to ensure a less stressful completion at the end.

If your student misses a day of school, it is their responsibility to check in with their teachers immediately upon returning. Promptly requesting and completing missing work ensures learning continues without interruption and grades remain up to date.

This year, students will be completing Common Quarterly Assessments within their core courses. These summative exams cover the key standards taught throughout the first nine weeks and provide our instructional teams with vital data to ensure students have mastered core concepts. Teachers will administer these assessments during their regular class periods once they have completed the aligned Quarter 1 curriculum.

There will be no school for students on Monday, October 12th. Our teachers and staff will be utilizing this time for professional learning, collaborative planning as we embark on Quarter 2, and finalizing Quarter 1 grades.

Thank you for your ongoing support, partnership, and dedication to our school community.

Have a fantastic week!
