Message From Leadership

Hello Eagle Families,

Welcome to Quarter 2! As we officially embark on the second nine weeks of the school year, we want to thank you for your continued partnership.

Please remember that there is no school for students tomorrow, Monday, October 12th. Our teachers and staff will be utilizing this time for professional learning, collaborative planning for Quarter 2, and finalizing Quarter 1 grades.

As your student wraps up Quarter 1, we encourage you to sit down with them to reflect on their progress and performance:
  • Where were they most successful?
  • What challenges or struggles did they face?
  • What action steps can they take to keep improving?

Throughout Quarter 1, our primary focus was Attitude, as we focused on our four “A”s in our quest to maintain our “A” school grade. Moving into Quarter 2, while a positive attitude remains essential, we are highlighting our second "A”, Accountability.

Accountability encourages our Eagles to hold themselves to high standards both in and out of school; academically, behaviorally, in their choice of language, and in how they treat others. It also means having the strength to do what is right and hold peers accountable when necessary. Owning our actions helps create the campus culture we strive for every day: one where everyone in the "nest" feels safe, secure, and supported in their learning environment.

Our first Spirit Week kicked off on Friday with Character Day, and it was fantastic to see our students' creativity and unique outfits! The fun continues all week long, and we hope your student will participate in the remaining dress-up days.

Thursday will be an after school dance. Admission is $2.00 at the door. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. All funds raised go directly toward our Student Government Association (SGA) to support campus activities!

October 20th is our next SAC and PTO meetings, starting at 5:30pm in the Media Center. Please join us. If you are interested in being an active part of our PTO, this amazing group of parents could use some additional support. The staff and students at PGM are beyond grateful for all that they do throughout the year.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we kick off a strong and successful Quarter 2. Enjoy the long weekend, and we look forward to seeing our Eagles back on campus Tuesday!
