GET THE PAPERWORK STARTED AND DONE NOW. DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.
Tryout dates for middle school sports: You must finish your athletic clearance on Home Campus by the tryout date. Then you can try out for that sport. The first official tryout date is next to the sport name below. Coaches usually hold tryouts for more than one day. You must go to every tryout day to be considered.
Track and wrestling are the only sports where we need more players. This is because of events and weight classes.
The dates listed are the first day of tryouts. They are also the final day to turn in all paperwork. There are no exceptions.
Track - January 11th
Soccer - February 1st
Wrestling - March 29th
Home Campus Info - See the attached file to learn how to set up Home Campus for athletic clearance.
You must upload page 4 of the EL2 physical form.A parent and student must sign it. Otherwise, I cannot approve it. The form is attached to this message.
Students must take these classes online and upload the certificates.
Sportsmanship
Concussion for Students
Cardiac Arrest
Heat Exhaustion
Sign all pages of the EL3 form. The parent and student must sign the online clearance.
Upload a copy of your insurance card. If you do not have insurance, you must buy the school insurance. You cannot try out for sports without insurance.
For 7th and 8th grade students: your student must have a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) to be eligible. In January, the GPA for 6th graders will count.
This gives 7th and 8th graders a second chance if bad grades stopped them from trying out before.
Also, the rule about 3 or more office referrals starts over in January.
