Message from Leadership

The first round of testing is behind us, though make-up testing will continue through this week for any students who were absent on the scheduled dates. We are extremely proud of the efforts of our Eagle leaders!

PGMS Events

Stay up to date by following the school calendar of events!

Our first Early Release Day is this Wednesday, September 10th. Students will dismiss at 2:10pm. Bus transportation and parent pick up will run as usual at that time. There will be NO BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB.

The Debate Club, sponsored by Mr. Savage, is open to all students and the first meeting of the year is Monday, 9/7, after school in the media center. Your child is welcome to stay after to see what the club is all about.

The National Junior Honor Society, sponsored by Mr. Pavluchuk is also having their first meeting Monday from 4:15-5:00pm. This is for current members.

Tuesday, 9/9, the PGMS Fishing Club, sponsored by Mr. Pavluchuk will meet in the media center from 4:15-5:00pm. All are welcome!

PGMS United Soccer Club begins Tuesday, 9/9. Athletes must have the EL3 Consent form to participate. Forms can be picked up in room 314 or printed from the link below.

PGMS Boys and Girls Basketball teams will take on MMS at home on Thursday. Come out and support your athletes!

Be sure to join the Parent Square group for any clubs/sports your child is part of to stay informed! Club sponsors and coaches can add you or send you a link upon request!

PTO News

The No Fuss Fundraiser has been extended through September 19th!

  • The homeroom (first period) class per grade with the highest donations will receive a donut party!
  • The top 10 students will receive a PTO 'Staff Pass'. This will allow those 10 students to participate in ALL the PTO sponsored Staff Celebrations (like the monthly treats and fun lunches)!
  • Students should bring donations to a PTO representative in the atrium on Wednesdays or Fridays before first period through September 19th.
  • Please have donations in an envelope labeled with the Student Name, Grade, and Homeroom teacher.

FFA News

The PGMS FFA is selling fresh, local eggs and honey, as well as hosting a presale for holiday poinsettias!
  • Eggs are $6 a dozen for amazing large brown eggs.
  • The local honey is $7 for the small size and $15 for the large size.
  • Poinsettias are $7 for large and $4 for small.
We greatly appreciate your help supporting our Middle School FFA Chapter this year as we continue to grow.

Literacy News

We are excited to share that Charlotte County students have 24/7 access to electronic reading platforms again this school year. As long as students have access to the internet and Classlink, they can access these apps! Be sure to check them out!

Tutoring

After school tutoring in all core subject areas will begin in mid September. Tutoring will be held Monday-Thursday, with a focus on a different core area each day. More information will come, so be on the lookout.

As a reminder, students staying for tutoring will have access to late bus transportation, but MUST be registered in advance.
