PTO/SAC
Our PGMS School Advisory Committee (SAC) serves as a collaborative group of parents, teachers, administrators, and community members working to improve the school. Our SAC's goals can be broad, focusing on everything from academics to student well-being.
Out main focus is:
-
Strengthen Parent-School Partnerships: Find ways to increase parent involvement and communication. This could be through workshops, newsletters, or technology platforms that make it easier for parents to stay informed.
-
Increase Community Involvement: Recruit local businesses and community organizations to partner with the school. They can provide resources, volunteer opportunities, or mentorship programs for students.
-
Enhance Communication: Ensure there are clear and consistent channels of communication between the SAC, the school, and the wider community. This helps keep everyone informed about the school's goals, challenges, and successes.
Please join us so we can continue to build a positive school culture!
Our Mission as a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Punta Gorda Middle School is to promote and encourage communication between parents, teachers, administration, and the community. We seek to compliment the current curriculum, teachers and administrators, and all other school organizations and programs by providing open lines of communication and transparent support. The PTO also sponsors, organizes, and/or supports school events, fundraising efforts, and enrichment programs that enhance our children’s educational social, and developmental experiences at PGMS.
