Hello Eagle Families,
As we move further into the month of April, there is a noticeable sense of excitement on campus. This is a season of "culmination", the time of year where all the hard work our students have put in since August begins to pay off in visible ways.
As we balance this excitement with our continued focus on academic success, I am writing to ask for your partnership regarding a few campus guidelines that help keep our learning environment organized and focused.
To ensure our classrooms remain clean, pest-free, and focused on instruction, please remember that no outside food is permitted in the classrooms. We understand that mornings can be busy, and many students may bring breakfast items (including coffee, smoothies, or fast-food meals) with them to school. These items must be finished prior to the start of school and are not allowed in the classrooms. Remember we do serve breakfast each morning in the cafeteria starting at 8:35am.
Attendance is also vital as the weeks progress. This is an important time for final test preparations. Please ensure that your student is coming to school on time so they can get the most out of their learning experience.
As we see an increase in rainy weather we also felt it would be a great time to update our families on our Inclement Weather plan. Please know that our top priority is the safety of our students. Therefore, in the event of severe weather or lightning at dismissal, please be aware of the following procedures.
- If conditions are unsafe, dismissal may be delayed until weather improves. If lightning is detected, all standard procedures will pause, this includes buses and the carline. When able we will load students as quickly and safely as possible.
- All walkers and bikers will be held until it is safe for them to depart or they must be picked up through the car rider line. Please do not approach the office and try to pick up your student as the staff will be doing their best to monitor students and manage the carline transportation so students are able to safely exit.
We will do our best to get students off campus as soon as possible, but your patience in the process is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
Proud to be an Eagle!
