Welcome Back Punta Gorda Families!

Hello Eagle Families,

As the summer days wind down, our team is buzzing with excitement to welcome our students back. We are thrilled to kick off what promises to be an incredible new school year.

Earlier this summer, we received the amazing news that Punta Gorda Middle School officially earned an "A" rating! This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the support of families like you. Thank you for partnering with us to help every student succeed. We look forward to celebrating your child's continued growth and accomplishments throughout the year.

As we begin a new school year, our commitment remains the same: providing a safe, welcoming, and transparent learning environment where every student can thrive. We believe strong partnerships with families are essential, and clear communication is a key part of that commitment.

This year, all students in grades 6 - 8 have access to StudentSquare, Charlotte County Public Schools' official student communication platform. Parents and guardians can monitor their child's StudentSquare account, providing greater transparency while helping families stay informed and engaged. Thank you for the trust you place in Punta Gorda Middle School. Together, we will continue to support every student's success throughout the year.

I would also like to personally invite you to join us on August 7 at 5:00 p.m. for Open House, an opportunity to explore our campus, meet your student’s teachers, and learn more about the year ahead. Open House will officially begin at 5:30 p.m., and families will follow their student’s schedule through a shortened class rotation experience. Please bring your student’s schedule with you so you know where to report for each period. Families arriving after 5:30 p.m. will join the schedule rotation at the class period currently in session.

Student ID Badges will be provided to students the first day of school. All students are required to wear their ID badge daily when on campus. Please remember students are not allowed to use personal electronic devices during the school day (cell phones, wireless earbuds, etc.). If your student has a cell phone, this should be turned off and placed in their backpack upon arrival to campus. Information regarding student expectations and conduct will be shared the first week of school.

We hope your student enjoys their final days of summer and we look forward to seeing them return to campus on August 10th at 9:10 am.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our front office team. We are happy to help.
